This is a Blended Learning American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED course that will need online access for completion. 

Age: Students must be at least 15 years old by the last day of class.

Qualifications: Students must pass a pre-course swimming skills test prior to taking lifeguarding courses. This includes a 300-yard swim using front crawl or breaststroke, a 2-minute tread using legs only and the ability to retrieve a 10-lb dive weight from 7 ft deep, surface and swim 20 yds with the weight, using legs only and exit the pool without using a ladder within 100 seconds.

Course Includes: Online Training, pool use, instruction manual (electronic verison), pocket mask, Lifeguarding certification (valid 2 years) and CPR for the Professional Rescuer (valid 2 years).

Participants for this course must allow up to 7 hours of online participation in order to complete the course. Participants must compelte 9 online modules as well as a prerequisite test before they can attend the "Skills Course" portion of the training. Participants must present their instructor with a print out of the completion certificate before they will be allowed into the "Skills Course."

Location: Southampton Recreational Association
